The building itself is pretty standard 3-star stuff, nothing that’ll make you stop and Instagram the facade. But you know what? Once you’re inside, there’s this genuine warmth that’s hard to fake. The lobby has this lived-in feeling – not shabby, just… authentic. Like someone’s well-kept family home that happens to rent out rooms. The staff genuinely seems to care about whether you’re settling in okay, which sounds cheesy but makes a real difference when you’re dealing with jet lag or just need a decent restaurant recommendation. I mean, they actually ask follow-up questions instead of just pointing you toward the tourist traps.

The rooms are where this place really makes sense. They’re not trying to be boutique-fancy or business-hotel sleek – they’re just comfortable in a way that lets you actually relax. Good reading lights (seriously underrated), proper blackout curtains, and beds that don’t feel like they came from a catalog. The bathrooms are clean and functional without any unnecessary marble or mood lighting nonsense. What I appreciated most was the little kitchen setup – nothing elaborate, but enough to make coffee the way you like it or store some groceries if you’re staying more than a couple nights. The Wi-Fi actually works throughout the building, which honestly puts it ahead of some 4-star places I’ve stayed.

Location-wise, you’re not in the thick of tourist central, which is either perfect or problematic depending on what you’re after. It’s more of a residential area feel – you’ll hear actual life happening outside your window instead of just tour buses and street performers. There’s decent public transport nearby, and if you’re the type who likes to discover a place by wandering around, you’ll find some genuinely local spots within walking distance. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle during busy periods, but the front desk usually has solid suggestions for where to leave your car without breaking the bank.

The 7.7 rating makes total sense to me – it’s not perfect, but it’s doing what it set out to do really well. If you’re looking for a spa weekend or rooftop cocktails, this isn’t your place. But if you want somewhere that feels less like a hotel transaction and more like… well, like the name says, like being at home – this works. I’d definitely stay here again, especially for longer trips where you want to feel settled rather than just passing through.
