Hotel Description
You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star aparthotel, but this place in the Brauhausviertel absolutely knocked my socks off. The name basically tells you everything – you’re staying right in the heart of the old brewery district, and honestly, that’s half the charm right there. The building itself has this understated charm that fits perfectly with the neighborhood’s industrial-meets-hip vibe. Nothing flashy, but there’s something really satisfying about the clean lines and the way they’ve kept some of the original architectural details without going overboard with the “historic charm” thing.
The apartments themselves are what really sold me though. I mean, sure, it’s not luxury – we’re talking 3 stars here – but everything just works. The kitchenette actually has decent-sized pots and pans (you’d be amazed how many places cheap out on that), the Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every five minutes, and the bed is surprisingly comfortable. I stayed for almost a week and never felt cramped, which is saying something because I’m the type who gets antsy in hotel rooms after two days. The windows are well-insulated too – important because the Brauhausviertel can get a bit lively on weekend nights, but I slept like a baby. What really impressed me was the little stuff: proper hangers in the closet, a full-length mirror, decent water pressure in the shower. The kind of details that tell you someone actually thought about what travelers need instead of just checking boxes.
But here’s the thing that really makes this place special – the location is absolutely perfect if you want to feel like you’re living in the city rather than just visiting it. You’ve got authentic local spots within walking distance, not tourist traps. There’s this fantastic bakery literally around the corner where locals line up every morning (I became a regular), and the whole area has this lived-in feel that I love. The brewery history isn’t just a marketing gimmick either – you can still see remnants of the old brewing infrastructure if you know where to look, and there are some excellent craft beer spots that clearly have roots in the neighborhood’s past. Getting around is easy too, though I found myself walking most places because everything felt so accessible. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no lengthy presentations about amenities I’ll never use, just friendly efficiency. For the price point and that 9-star rating, I totally get why people keep coming back. It’s one of those places where you end up extending your stay if you can swing it.

Everything was lovely. Dinner on the porch was a high point, but everything was good. There was a Greek restaurant down the street that was fabulous. Close the the S-Bahn and the U-Bahn. Coffee shop down the block. Beds where comfortable. The wifi worked well. The kitchen was well
What could be improved: There was no beer bottle opener. Naturlijk had ik mijn eigen.Simone from Germany – 4 April 2024 (8/10)
