Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw the name “apartment-am-airport,” I wasn’t expecting much. It sounds like one of those generic places you book when you need somewhere to crash before an early flight, right? But here’s the thing that caught me off guard: this little 3-star spot actually gets it right in ways that matter.

The location is obviously airport-focused (I mean, it’s right there in the name), but what surprised me was how quiet it actually stays despite being so close to the terminals. You’ll hear the occasional plane overhead, sure, but it’s not that constant drone you’d expect. The rooms have this sort of apartment-style setup that makes way more sense than a traditional hotel room when you’re dealing with long layovers or those weird travel schedules we all end up with sometimes. There’s actually counter space to spread out your stuff, and – this is key – enough outlets positioned where you actually need them. You know how most hotels have outlets in the most useless spots? Not an issue here.

What really won me over was the practical stuff that no one talks about in those glossy hotel descriptions. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, none of that “let me upsell you seventeen things” nonsense you get at bigger chains. The staff seemed to get that most people staying here are either coming or going somewhere else, so they keep things efficient without being rushed. Parking was easier than I expected too – and honestly, when you’re juggling luggage and trying to make a flight, that kind of thing matters more than fancy lobby art. The 8.0 rating makes total sense when you realize this place isn’t trying to be something it’s not. It’s doing the airport hotel thing really well, with enough apartment-style amenities to make longer stays comfortable. I mean, you’re not going to mistake it for a luxury resort, but when you need a solid, no-fuss place that actually understands what airport travelers want? Yeah, this works.

  Klein und gemütlich… Supermarkt ums Eck, sehr praktisch.
  Die Terrasse vor dem Haus hat uns gut gefallen und wir haben diese gerne genutzt aufgrund gutem Wetter. Küche gut ausgestattet. Haben aber nur Kaffeetassen benutzt.
  
  What could be improved: Dusche/WC schon sehr klein. Kleiner geht's kaum. Die Lage in Ochsenzoll hat halt den Nachteil, daß man zu zu 1 Std. ins Zentrum braucht.
