You know what? I was honestly skeptical when I first pulled up to Apartment_Lucas – I mean, with a name like that, you’re not exactly expecting the Ritz, right? But here’s the thing that caught me off guard: this little three-star gem is punching way above its weight class, and that 9.6 rating actually makes perfect sense once you spend a night there.

The moment you walk in, there’s this immediate sense that someone really cares about this place. It’s not fancy in that trying-too-hard way, but everything just works. The apartment setup gives you actual breathing room – and I mean real space, not those cramped hotel boxes where you’re bumping into furniture every time you turn around. The kitchen situation is surprisingly well-equipped too, which honestly saved me a fortune since I could grab groceries instead of eating out for every meal. I ended up making coffee there most mornings, and there’s something really nice about having that option, you know? Plus the wifi actually works properly (I know, basic requirement these days, but you’d be amazed how many places still mess this up).

What really sold me on the place though was the attention to detail – fresh towels that actually felt soft, decent water pressure in the shower, and the kind of thoughtful touches that make you feel like you’re staying somewhere that gets what travelers actually need. The check-in process was refreshingly straightforward too, none of that bureaucratic nonsense you sometimes get. I’ll be honest, the location took me a minute to figure out at first, but once I got my bearings, I realized it’s actually positioned pretty smartly. You’re close enough to get where you need to go without being stuck in the middle of all the tourist chaos – which means you can actually get some decent sleep at night. The neighborhood has that lived-in feel where locals are just going about their business, grabbing coffee, walking their dogs. There’s something really authentic about that. Sure, it might not have all the bells and whistles of a big chain hotel, but when you’re getting this level of comfort and that genuine hospitality vibe for three-star prices? It’s honestly a no-brainer. I’d definitely book it again.

  Wonderful homely apartment, well located in the lively St Pauli area. With public transport nearby, easy base to get around in the city. Host is hands on and easy going.
  
  What could be improved: There is nothing to complain about. Just keep in mind that if you want a quiet hood, this in general isn't the area you want to stay.

  Die Lage im Szenenviertel St. Pauli hat uns sehr gefallen. Viele Graffitis, Bars und am Abend viel los auf der Strasse. Die Stimmung war top und im Appartement war es ruhig. Wir hatten viel Platz, konnten an einem Abend in der Küche kochen, Platz für Yoga, gemütliches Sofa um zu lesen und sauberes Bett zum schlafen. Die Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin via AirBnB-Chat war aufmerksam und herzlich, ansonsten hatten wir keinen Kontakt.
  
  What could be improved: Das Badezimmer ist sehr klein und beim Duschen wurde es am Boden recht nass weil der Vorhang nicht bis ganz unten ging. Aber zum Glück gibt es eine kleine Bodendecke zum trocknen 🙂
