Apartmenthaus Hamburg Eppendorfer Weg Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Apartmenthaus Hamburg Eppendorfer Weg, you immediately get the sense that this isn’t your typical hotel experience — and honestly, that’s exactly what makes it work so well. This three-star property sits quietly on Eppendorfer Weg in the Hoheluft-West district, and I mean quietly in the best possible way. The building has that understated German efficiency about it, nothing flashy, but you can tell everything’s been thought through properly.
Location That Actually Matters
Here’s what I love about staying in Hoheluft-West — you’re close enough to Hamburg‘s main attractions without dealing with the tourist crowds every time you step outside. The Eppendorfer Weg area has this lovely residential feel, with tree-lined streets and local cafés that actually serve locals, not just visitors. You know what’s really convenient? The public transport connections are excellent from here, so getting to the Speicherstadt or St. Pauli takes maybe 15-20 minutes. Couples seem to absolutely love this spot — I can see why, since it feels like you’re experiencing the real Hamburg rather than just the postcard version.
The Apartment Experience
The apartment setup here is what sets this place apart from standard hotel rooms. Each unit comes with its own kitchenette, which honestly saved me quite a bit of money during my stay. I mean, Hamburg’s restaurant scene is fantastic, but sometimes you just want to grab some fresh bread and local cheese from the nearby shops and have breakfast at your own pace. The room itself was larger than I expected — there’s actually space to spread out your stuff without feeling like you’re living out of a suitcase.
Practical Comforts
What impressed me most was how well-equipped everything was without feeling overdone. The kitchenette has everything you actually need (not just the bare minimum), and there’s proper storage space for longer stays. The Wi-Fi works reliably throughout the building — I know that sounds basic, but you’d be surprised how many places still struggle with this. Parking is available, which is genuinely helpful in this part of Hamburg where street parking can be a bit of a puzzle. The whole setup feels like they’ve actually listened to what travelers need rather than just guessing.
Why Guests Love It
There’s something refreshingly honest about this place — it doesn’t try to be something it’s not, but what it does, it does really well. The location consistently gets rave reviews, and after spending time in the neighborhood, I completely understand why. You’re surrounded by authentic Hamburg life, with easy access to parks, local markets, and genuine neighborhood spots. For couples especially, there’s something nice about having your own little space to retreat to after exploring the city. It’s the kind of place where you can actually settle in for a few days and feel like you’re living in Hamburg rather than just passing through.

Reviews of Apartmenthaus Hamburg Eppendorfer Weg
Frédérick from Germany – 11 May 2025 (9/10)
Apartment in excellent condition. The balcony facing south is awesome, open on a quiet cozy street. Nights are quiet and safe.
What could be improved: Warm water in the shower is difficult to get.
The apartment appears bigger in picture than in real, yet that does not affect the overall quality.Andrea from Italy – 4 May 2025 (7/10)
The neighbourhood is really amazing, full of life and cafes and trees during daytime, and really quiet at night. Apartment is in a nice building, and even if it's really tiny it has pretty everything for one person or a couple.
What could be improved: We found other people long hair in the shower, and the pillows were horribleSabine from Germany – 14 October 2024 (9/10)
I really liked the location and the friendliness of the owner.

Location was great with plenty of shops and restaurants near at hand.
Very short walk to bus and about 10 min walk to u bahn. The U3 was a good line to reach lots of places.
The apartment had most things you need for a short stay and was fairly quiet.
Despite what I have to say on the negatives, it is a good apartment to stay in.
What could be improved: Our stay didn't get off to a great start as the apartment was very dirty. There was rubbish from a previous visitor in a kitchen cupboard, and a damp used towel in the wardrobe with the extra bedding which didn't seem too fresh. The floor hasn't seen a mop in a long time and the skirting boards need a good clean. Cobwebs hanging from the ceiling and the top of any high surface is thick with dust.
One of the electric sockets by the bed is hanging off the wall.
There is not much space around the bed. You can't really stand in the bedroom or open the wardrobe doors properly. There is just enough room to get in and shuffle into bed.
We did enough cleaning to make our stay tolerable – but it needs some serious TLC, and I think the fridge may always smell of onion.Ismail from Netherlands – 27 June 2024 (9/10)
Good location. Close to bus 5 and 10 min walk away from U bahn. Lots of cafes on the street near by. Smooth entrance to the apartment; clear instructions from the host, well prepared. Clean. Small apartment but comfortable.
What could be improved: No shampoo in the bathroom.Gethen from Thailand – 26 May 2024 (7/10)
What could be improved: Didt got reply when message to property .

there was heat in the apartment, which was much needed during these cold days. the kitchen had everything needed. having a small balcony was exactly what we needed. the beds were comfy. all was very clean.
What could be improved: the bedroom didn't have a door of its own, just a transparent glass separator which didn't completely close, so there was no intimacy between the bedroom and the living-room-kitchen. the bedroom has just the bed and a huge wardrobe. the shower leaked outside and there was no sewage in the bathroom. we kindly asked for sheets for the second bed, but there weren't any (luckily the service room was open and we could take from there). we didn't get a reply about the check-out. the living-room faces the street, so it's not really quiet. not big problems, but for 140 euro/ night we expected more.Marc from Switzerland – 20 November 2023 (8/10)
All furbished appartement, everything you need is there. Also, completely independent entry and access to the building, it really feels like your own flat.
Well located too.Jessica from Spain – 12 October 2022 (8/10)
Fantastic location. Close to shops, bars and easy transport to get to the city center. Apartment was exactly like it looked on the pictures. Small, but practical and perfect for a few days.
What could be improved: Everything was fine with the property, but communication was poor following check-in. Questions we had were simply ignored and never answered.Janeiro from Germany – 6 July 2022 (9/10)
Clean& very friendly staff!
