You know what? Apartments Les Jardins totally caught me off guard in the best possible way. I’ll be honest – when I first booked a 3-star place, I was bracing myself for the usual tired furniture and questionable shower pressure. But walking into this place, there’s actually something really charming about how they’ve set everything up. The whole vibe feels more like staying at a well-kept local apartment than some cookie-cutter hotel room.

The apartments themselves are surprisingly spacious – I mean, you’ve got proper room to spread out, which is rare these days. What really got me was the attention to detail in the kitchenettes. They’re not just thrown together with the cheapest appliances they could find. You can actually cook a decent meal if you want to skip the restaurant scene for a night. The living areas have this comfortable, lived-in feel without being worn down, if that makes sense. And honestly, the beds are way more comfortable than I expected from a 3-star spot – none of that rock-hard mattress nonsense you sometimes get. The bathrooms are clean and modern enough, though the water pressure varies depending on what floor you’re on (higher floors seem to get the better deal).

Here’s the thing that really sold me on this place though – it’s got that perfect balance where you feel like you’re actually living somewhere rather than just passing through. The staff genuinely seems to care about making sure you’re settled in, not just checking boxes on their hospitality checklist. I noticed they remember your name after the first day, which sounds small but makes a real difference. The whole property has these little garden areas – hence the name, obviously – that are actually well-maintained and give you a nice spot to sit with coffee in the morning. Peak season can get a bit bustling in the common areas, but even then it never feels chaotic. And look, it’s not perfect – the Wi-Fi can be spotty in some rooms, and if you’re someone who needs everything to be brand new and gleaming, this might feel a bit too homey for your taste. But for most people? The 8.6 rating makes complete sense once you’ve been there a few days. It’s one of those places where you start planning your next visit before you’ve even checked out.

  The space – it's very big. The bed is comfortable, the small kitchen has everything you need in a big city, where you go out for lunch and dinner, but you do want the possibility to have your own breakfast in your own kitchen. The bathroom is nice, the shower really nice. There's a sofa, so you can hang somewhere else than on the bed. The apartment was very clean. The location is good – with lots of shops, bars and restaurants just a short walk away and many bus stops down the street.
  
  What could be improved: Staying in Hamburg is expensive. We paid good money for this studio apartment and although it had everything we needed, I still feel that the price/quality ratio was a bit off. This mainly has to do with the zero personal touches the apartment has. It's very… clean. Almost clinical. Add some colour to the walls, add some posters or just some nice touches. Then, the studio would be even nicer to stay at.

  The staff was super friendly and helpful. The studio Apartment seemed to be newly renovated and also really clean. The little courtyard with the chairs and tables offer a nice opportunity to chill a bit in the sun. The back building of the apartment house is really quiet (minus the few restrictions we had due to the location of our specific studio), so even though the building is close to a big road, you won’t hear much street noise.
  
  What could be improved: Our studio apartment had only two big windows at the end of the room, which made it a bit dark. Since it was located right next to the entrance on the ground floor, we had to keep the curtains closed all the time, otherwise people would look directly into the apartment. Due to the entrance it was also always quite noisy whenever people entered or left the building or gathered before arriving/leaving. Lastly the safe which is where people would pick up /drop their keys during self check in/out made really loud beeping noises whenever a code was entered. So especially during late/early hours you would hear a beeping noise quite frequently.
  
  Something that was also a bit tricky was that our studio, which we lived in with three people, only had one key. So whenever we parted ways we needed to arrange how the rest of the group would get into the apartment later.

  Fab location, excellent apartment, easy check in, and reasonable price.
  
  What could be improved: All apartments are really well signposted to find except 1-5, but there was a phone to call, picked up immediately and spoke English so this is very minor. We were very happy and have willl be staying here next time

  I stayed there several times already due to work and I was happy to find a room available again for the time period I needed. No bad surprise, everything went well from check-in to check-out and everything was clean and comfortable, with everything needed in the kitchen as during my previous stays. Would stay there again!

  The room was very modern, new, cosy, extremely clean, with a greatly equipped kitchen. The size was perfect. The property was very well located in a beautiful place, close to the city center (less than 30 min bus ride). Thani, that worked in the property, was extremely helpful and lovely.

  Brand new furniture, nice style, very green and quite surroundings in the courtyard. Well equipped new kitchen. Friendly service. Nice neighborhood, plenty of restaurants in walking distance.
