The whole contactless check-in thing actually works perfectly – and I say this as someone who usually struggles with hotel apps and gets frustrated standing outside with luggage. But here’s the thing that matters more: you’re literally staying on one of Hamburg’s most gorgeous historic streets, and I mean *the* Deichstrasse that survived the Great Fire of 1842. Walking out your door in the morning feels like stepping into a postcard, except with better coffee shops nearby.

The apartments themselves are honestly pretty solid for what you’re getting. Nothing fancy – this is a 3-star spot, so don’t expect marble bathrooms or anything – but everything’s clean and functional, and the historic building character really shows through. You’ll hear some street noise during the day (it’s a popular area for tourists taking those Instagram shots), but it quiets down nicely in the evenings. The kitchenette setup is actually useful if you grab groceries from the Rewe that’s just a few blocks away, though honestly, with all the restaurants in the Speicherstadt area so close, you might not cook much. I found myself wandering over to the harbor most evenings just because you can.

What really makes this place work is the location – and I don’t mean that in the generic “convenient location” way every hotel claims. I mean you’re a five-minute walk from the Speicherstadt, you can hear the harbor activity if you open your windows, and there’s this little bakery around the corner that locals actually go to (not just tourists). The 8.3 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s not trying to be luxury, but it nails what it is: a comfortable base in one of Hamburg’s most atmospheric neighborhoods. The contactless thing might seem gimmicky, but when you’re coming back tired from exploring the HafenCity or dealing with train delays, just walking straight to your room without lobby small talk is honestly pretty great.

  We’ve got everything we need! The location is super good, famous tourist attractions are all in walking distance. Metro is only 3 mins walking away. You can even leave your luggage at the property!
  
  What could be improved: One little thing we weren’t aware(which is probably our fault) is that this property is allocated at half basement. There’s still sunlight so it’s totally fine. We just weren’t expecting it.

  Location is really good! The beds were very comfortable, the couch was even a bit too soft.

  It was located in an area with a lot of history, close to everything walking distance. Accommodation were great, exactly as pictured, very clean as well
