Like, when I asked about getting to the fish market early Sunday morning, the desk clerk didn’t just hand me a generic map – she actually explained which bus connections work best at 5 AM and mentioned that the 62 bus line runs more frequently than most apps suggest. The rooms themselves have this clean, minimalist German efficiency thing happening, but with enough personality that you don’t feel like you’re sleeping in an office building. The beds are proper firm (as they should be), and I mean this as a compliment – the shower pressure actually works. You’d be surprised how many hotels mess that up. There’s something satisfying about a place that gets the basics right before worrying about fancy amenities. The breakfast spread was solid – good bread, local cheese selections, and they actually had decent coffee instead of that watery hotel stuff that tastes like regret.   Loved the location – it is not central city location, but its on the Elbe riverside, if you have a river side view room that enables you to see the giant container ships and cruises passing by towards Hamburg. Connected to the city center in 30 min by a ferry – small terminal right behind the hotel – great for a tourist visit. Also nice cycling base.
  Cozy bed, spacious suite – has a balcony.
  
  The staff enabled us to leave our car parked on the parking lot on the day of our check-out also after our check-out without an extra charge (otherwise parking costs 5 eur/night) – nice gesture, not self-evident.
  
  What could be improved: The carpet is laid accross the entire floor (hallways and room floors) and is not the cleanest (stains visible).

  Great views across the River Elbe. We chose this hotel as our sons wanted to visit the Airbus factory nearby. We were a little concerned at it being on the south of the river but there is a ferry dock very close by and making use of the convenient and regular ferry service became an added bonus to our break.
