The whole place has this film studio vibe going on (hence the name, obviously), with exposed brick walls, industrial lighting fixtures, and these really cool vintage movie posters scattered around. I mean, it’s not going to win any luxury awards – it’s a solid 3-star spot – but there’s something genuinely cozy about it that the fancy chain hotels just can’t replicate. The rooms feel like little creative sanctuaries, actually. Mine had this massive window that let in incredible natural light, and I found myself just sitting there with my coffee in the mornings, watching the neighborhood wake up. The beds are surprisingly comfortable too – sometimes these boutique places sacrifice comfort for style, but they got the balance right here.

What really sold me on this place was how the staff treated it less like a business transaction and more like they were welcoming you into their creative space. The guy at reception (Stefan, I think?) knew everyone’s names by day two and had these great recommendations for little cafés and galleries that definitely weren’t in any guidebook. Check-in was smooth, though I’d suggest arriving before 6 PM if possible – it’s a smaller operation, so late arrivals might mean waiting around a bit. Parking was actually easier than I expected for this type of neighborhood spot, with street parking available most evenings, though you might want to move your car by morning if there are any local restrictions. The 8.0 rating makes total sense to me – it’s the kind of place that does what it does really well, without trying to be everything to everyone. If you’re looking for a pool and room service, this isn’t your spot. But if you want somewhere with actual personality, where you feel like you’re staying somewhere unique rather than just another interchangeable hotel room, then honestly, this little film-themed gem delivers exactly that. Plus, the neighborhood has this authentic local feel that you don’t get when you’re stuck in the touristy areas – which, let’s be real, is worth the slightly quirky setup.
