You know what surprised me about this Hamburg studio? It’s actually way more spacious than you’d expect for a place that sleeps four people. I mean, when I first saw “studio” in the name, I was picturing one of those cramped boxes where you’re practically sleeping on top of each other – but honestly, they’ve done something clever with the layout here.

The thing is, Hamburg can be tricky when you’re traveling with a group because decent accommodations that don’t break the bank are harder to find than you’d think. This place sort of hits that sweet spot where it’s comfortable without being fancy, and the 8.7 rating actually makes sense once you’re there. The kitchen setup is surprisingly functional – I actually cooked a proper breakfast instead of just making coffee and running out the door like I usually do. There’s this great little market nearby (I can’t remember the exact street name, but it’s maybe a five-minute walk) where you can grab fresh bread and those amazing German sausages that make hotel continental breakfast seem like a joke.

What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night. Hamburg’s got this reputation for being pretty lively, and while that’s definitely true in the main areas, this studio is positioned where you get the best of both worlds. You’re close enough to actually experience the city – the harbor area is totally walkable if you don’t mind a bit of a stroll – but you’re not dealing with drunk tourists stumbling around at 2 AM. The check-in process was refreshingly straightforward too, none of that awkward waiting around in a lobby while they figure out your reservation. It’s more like staying at a friend’s place, which honestly works better when you’ve got a small group and everyone’s got different schedules. Some people were heading out early for the fish market while others wanted to sleep in, and there’s something nice about having your own space to work around that. The only minor thing – and this is really just me being picky – is that the shower pressure could be a bit stronger, but that seems to be pretty standard for older Hamburg buildings anyway.

  This property was perfect for our 1-week stay in Hamburg. The studio was clean, bright and modern. It also had a kitchen which was awesome. I really enjoyed how safe the neighbourhood felt as well as how kind and generous the hosts were. This is a perfect place to stay as a couple!
  
  What could be improved: This property is 45 minutes away from Hamburg centre by bus/train and requires some planning if you are wanting to take transit. For us, this was not an issue – however, it is something to consider if you do not have a car.

  Die Vermieterin ist extrem entgegenkommend, wir durften das Gepäck schon sehr viel früher unterstellen. Das Appartement ist sehr gut ausgestattet, Kaffeemaschine und Wasserkocher, sowie Grill, Herd, Kühlschrank und Geschirrspüler waren relativ neu. Auch Teebeutel, Kaffee und Löskaffee wurden zur Verfügung gestellt.

  Wir waren Selbstversorger. Die Lage war sehr gut und sehr ruhig. Man kam sehr gut mit dem ÖPNV ins Zentrum von Hamburg .

  Sehr gemütliche, ruhig gelegene Ferienwohnung im Dachgeschoss. Das Design ist modern und freundlich, die Ausstattung super. Die nächste Bushaltestelle ist buchstäblich um die Ecke. Parkplätze sind in der Wohngegend auch leicht zu finden. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt
