You know what caught me off guard about Hotel City House? The lobby actually feels lived-in rather than sterile – there’s this warm buzz of conversation and the kind of lighting that doesn’t make you look like you’ve been traveling for twelve hours straight. I mean, it’s definitely a four-star place, but without that intimidating vibe some hotels get when they’re trying too hard to impress you.

The rooms are honestly better than I expected for the price point. Nothing revolutionary, but the beds are properly comfortable (not those rock-hard mattresses some places think are “supportive”), and whoever designed the bathrooms actually understood that people need counter space for their stuff. The windows are decent sized too, which sounds minor until you’re in one of those cave-like hotel rooms elsewhere. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stayed at night – you’re clearly in the city, but the sound insulation works well enough that street noise doesn’t wake you up every few hours. Check-in was smooth, maybe ten minutes tops, and the front desk staff seemed to actually know the neighborhood when I asked about dinner spots rather than just handing me a generic tourist map.

Here’s the thing about this place – it sits in that sweet spot where you’re getting solid value without feeling like you’re compromising on the basics that matter. The 8.4 rating makes sense once you spend a night there; it’s not trying to be the fanciest hotel in the city, but everything works the way it should. The WiFi doesn’t cut out when you need it most, the shower has proper water pressure, and there’s enough storage space that you’re not living out of your suitcase on the floor. I’d honestly recommend it if you want something reliable without the markup you pay at those glossy chain hotels that spend more on their marketing than their mattresses. It’s the kind of place you’d book again without thinking twice about it.

  Really beautiful and extremely clean hotel. Staff was welcoming and friendly. Room number 45 was perfect for three adult persons because in addition to a very spacious room, there was a separate bedroom for one person.
