Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect from HUB Apartments when I first walked up – the name sounds pretty corporate, right? But you know what, this place actually surprised me in the best way possible. It’s got that sweet spot vibe where you feel like you’re staying somewhere legit without all the stuffy hotel nonsense that makes you feel like you can’t touch anything.

The apartment setup is what really sold me on this place. I mean, having actual space to spread out your stuff instead of living out of a suitcase for a week? Game changer. The kitchenette isn’t just for show either – you can actually cook something more ambitious than instant noodles, which honestly saved me a fortune on eating out every single meal. The living area feels lived-in but not worn down, if that makes sense. Like someone’s cool older sibling designed it and actually cares about whether you’re comfortable. The wifi is solid too, which matters more than I’d like to admit since I ended up working from the couch a few mornings (don’t judge me).

What I really appreciated was how the staff just… gets it. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no weird upselling or making you feel like you need to tip everyone who makes eye contact. They gave me the real scoop on the neighborhood too, not just the touristy stuff but where to grab decent coffee that doesn’t cost fifteen bucks and which streets get sketchy after dark. The building itself is quieter than I expected, especially considering it’s a 4-star place that clearly gets good business. I was worried about paper-thin walls and hearing every conversation in the hallway, but honestly, most nights I barely heard anything beyond the occasional elevator ding. The cleaning crew does their thing without being intrusive – they’d swing by when I was out exploring and everything would be reset without that weird “someone was definitely in your space” feeling some places give you. That 8.4 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there a few days. It’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but everything just works the way it should, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need when you’re trying to actually enjoy your trip instead of dealing with hotel drama.

  Communication was very clear and staff were super helpful – I was staying in the city to do the marathon and was put into one of the quieter rooms without any hassle.
  
  Location of the apartments is also good for S-bahn connection to city and airport. Plenty of supermarkets are also close by and the kitchen was well equipped (including Nespresso machine!) for stating a few nights.
  
  What could be improved: Cleaners knocked on my door at around 8am on my last day. I appreciate they have a tight schedule to sort the rooms out, but it felt a little invasive.

  What could be improved: Although I contacted them several times and emphasized that I preferred a room on a higher floor, they still gave us a room on the ground level. There were free rooms on higher floors, but they didn’t give us one. So, I consider this weak service.
  
  On the day we were checking out, our room key didn’t work, and there was no one at reception. I called them, and it took a while to replace our key contactlessly. It was stressful, and we were about to miss our flight because of this inconvenience!

  Good location for public transport and a shopping center close by. Very clean and well maintained.

  Location is good, near to Harburg Rathaus S Bahn, Regional train Hamburg-Harburg Bf station in 15 min walk and 10 min by train to Hamburg Hbf. Easy self check-in/out. Well equipped studio – everything you need – comfy bed, shower, kitchenette with microwave oven, cooker, electric kettle, coffee machine and fridge. Many shops and restaurants nearby.
  
  What could be improved: Weak Wi-Fi. Would be good to have some hooks for towels in bathroom.
