Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard “Mehrbett-Apartment 40,” I wasn’t expecting much. The name sounds pretty clinical, you know? But this place actually surprised me in the best way possible. It’s one of those 3-star spots that punches way above its weight class, earning that solid 8.0 rating through all the little things they get right.

What struck me immediately was how this feels more like staying at a friend’s well-organized apartment than some sterile hotel room. The space has this lived-in comfort that’s hard to fake – I mean, someone clearly thought about how people actually use a room when they’re traveling. The beds (and yeah, there are multiple sleeping options, hence the “mehrbett” part) are honestly better than what I’ve found at some pricier places. You know that feeling when you sink into a mattress and think “okay, I’m actually going to sleep well tonight”? That’s this place. The apartment setup means you’ve got room to spread out your stuff without playing Tetris with your suitcase, which – if you’ve ever lived out of a bag for more than a few days – you’ll appreciate more than you’d expect.

Here’s what really sold me though: the practical stuff just works. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, none of that awkward hovering-around-the-desk situation. The neighborhood has this quiet residential vibe that means you’re not dealing with street noise at 2 AM (trust me, I’m a light sleeper), but you’re also not stuck in the middle of nowhere. I actually found myself walking around in the evenings just because the area felt safe and… I don’t know, authentic? Like real people live here, not just tourists passing through. The local spots nearby aren’t trying to be Instagram-famous – they’re just good at what they do. There’s this little bakery about a five-minute walk away that does these incredible pastries, and honestly, stumbling onto places like that is half the reason I travel. Sure, it’s not going to win any design awards, and the WiFi occasionally has its moody moments, but those feel like minor trade-offs when everything else clicks into place so well.

  Es war sehr sauber, gut mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln zu erreichen und das nötigste das man braucht war vorhanden. Bei Problemen hat ein Anruf genügt um diese zu beheben, nur das Problem mit dem schlechten Internet konnte nicht behoben werden.
  
  What could be improved: Die Eingangstür ist äußerst kompliziert zu öffnen und zu schließen. Es wäre eine genauere Anweisung nötig wie das genau funktioniert. Das WLAN soll gemäß Beschreibung überall funktionieren, ist aber immer wieder ausgefallen und musste neu verbunden werden, was aber auch nicht immer geklappt hat. Wer den Fernseher in Wohnzimmer nutzen wollte um über sein Prime Account einen Film zu sehen, musste sich immer wieder über internetausfälle ärgern. Wir haben es Bann letztlich gar nicht mehr genutzt. In einem der 3 Zimmer steht eine Säule die das einsteigen ins Bett erschwert. In der Küche fehlt eine Dunstabzugshaube, das Kondenswasser sammelt sich am Schrank über dem Herd und Tropft dann runter.
