Look, I’ll be straight with you about this place – Mehrbett-Apartment 8 isn’t trying to be fancy, and honestly, that’s kind of refreshing. The name literally tells you what you’re getting: a multi-bed apartment that’s close to the city center with basic gear. No pretense, no overselling, just a solid 3-star spot that does what it says on the tin.

What struck me first was how genuinely citynah (city-near) it actually is – I mean, you can walk to most of the main stuff without that annoying tourist shuttle dance. The apartment itself feels like someone’s actual flat, not some sterile hotel room where everything’s bolted down and wrapped in plastic. Sure, the furnishings aren’t going to win any design awards, but there’s something honest about a place that gives you a proper kitchen and doesn’t charge you fifteen euros for instant coffee. The beds are decent enough – I’ve definitely slept worse in places that cost twice as much. You know what I appreciated? Real mugs in the kitchen, not those tiny hotel cups that make you feel like you’re playing house.

The 8.0 rating makes total sense once you adjust your expectations. This isn’t luxury, but it’s not trying to be – it’s that reliable friend who shows up when they say they will and doesn’t make a big fuss about it. The check-in was surprisingly smooth (though I’d recommend confirming the exact address situation ahead of time since that seems a bit fuzzy). Noise levels were pretty manageable, even on weekends, which is saying something for a city location. I actually ended up staying an extra night because, well, it just worked. Sometimes you don’t need marble bathrooms and turndown service – sometimes you just need a place that feels lived-in, where you can spread out your stuff and make terrible coffee at 6 AM without judgment. If you’re the type who travels to actually experience a place rather than Instagram your hotel room, this spot gets it.

  A baby cot with blanket and high chair were provided without my request – I am very thankful for that.
  Good heating and Wlan in the room. The room is big enough.
  Staff and kind workers helped me to take the baby carriage up to the 4th floor.
  Hosts answered very quickly, when I wrote them.
  There are 3 shops near the hotel. Althought it was a big building site, it was not very noisy.
  
  What could be improved: I would not recommend this apart.hotel for people with babies.
  We arrived with baby at 1.00 at night – darkness, keys should be found in the box 6 and the code was not right. Only after a panic, I understood that there are 3 boxes with number 6!
  This building was for industrial purposes, probably, and adapted for apartments. In connection with this – an echo, lack of ventilation in the bathroom.
  There is no elevator – hard to bring the baby carriage upstairs and no chances to change the room.
  There are problems with water – either cold or hot, hard to adjust it.
  For 4 days there was a building noise with drilling in the next rooms.
  Changing of towels is not planned by hosts, only for additional 30 Euro – althought we lived there for almost a month and paid for extention.
  The territory and pulic spaces are hardly illuminated, there are no any greenery and facilities.

  Das Appartement war schön groß, viel Bewegungsspielraum. Die Küchenausstattung war ausreichend für 2 Personen, die Spuülmaschine konnten wir allerdings nie voll machen, weil nicht genug Geschirr da war. Bequeme Betten, große Fenster.
  
  What could be improved: Im übernächsten Grundstück war ein türkisches (?) Vereinshaus, das jeden Abend von 20 – 22 Uhr Versammlungen mit ihrer lauten Musik abhielt, außerdem einen Geflügelhof unterhielt, wo jeden Morgen/Nacht, spätestens um 3:30 Truthähne anfingen zu schreien. Eine wirksame Hilfe dagegen waren sie geräuschdämmenden Fenster.

  Gute Lage. Schönes Zimmer. Einfach und unkompliziert.
  
  What could be improved: Ein Bewegungsmelder vom Flur Licht wäre praktisch. Weil sonst wäre immer die ganze Nacht das Licht an gewesen wenn ich es nicht jedes Mal aus gemacht hätte. Da die Mitbewohner es nie ausgemacht haben. Und da ich mit Licht durch den Tür Schlitz nicht schlafen konnte musste ich immer wieder das Licht ausschalten.
  
  Es gibt einen Fernseher der nur Radio Programme drin hat. Es wäre schön gewesen wenn normale Fernsehen Programme drin gewesen wären wie ARD und ZDF .

Sind Handwerker Räümlichkeiten .sehr laut (Moschee)Arbeiten in den Hinterhöfen!Angaben und Preis des Hotels waren falsch angeblich durch Booking ??!!!!!Wenn man keine Versicherung abschliessd bezahlt du drauf !Fühlte mich abgezockt trotz korrekter Angabe was ich suche und möchte! Musste 500€ mehr zahlen damit ich mein Geld von fast 2000€ nicht verliere!!Also guter Rat Rückzahlversicherung abschließen!!!¡ M.M
