Hotel Description

You know what, North-Hotel isn’t going to blow your mind, but honestly? That’s kind of its charm. I mean, when you walk into the lobby, it’s got this straightforward, no-nonsense vibe that actually feels refreshing after dealing with all those overly fancy places that try too hard. The front desk staff – they’re the kind of people who remember you’re in room 314 without checking their computer twice, which I genuinely appreciate.

The rooms are what you’d expect from a solid 3-star spot, but here’s the thing – they’re consistently clean and the beds are actually comfortable. I’ve stayed in plenty of places with higher star ratings where I couldn’t get a decent night’s sleep, so that matters more than you might think. The bathrooms are small but functional, and the water pressure is surprisingly good (learned not to take that for granted after a particularly disappointing stay in Barcelona last year). What I really liked was how quiet it gets at night – you’re not dealing with paper-thin walls or that constant hum of highway traffic that seems to plague so many mid-range hotels.

The location works well if you know how to navigate the area. It’s not right in the thick of everything, which honestly can be a blessing depending on what you’re after. You’ll probably want to grab a coffee and walk around the neighborhood a bit to get your bearings – there are some decent local spots within a few blocks that the front desk can point you toward. Parking wasn’t a nightmare, which is saying something these days. The 7.6 rating feels about right to me – it’s not perfect, and the décor could use some updating (think early 2000s business hotel aesthetic), but it delivers on the basics without any major surprises. If you’re looking for Instagram-worthy amenities or a rooftop bar, keep looking. But if you want a place that’ll give you a clean room, reliable Wi-Fi, and staff who actually seem to care about doing their job well, North-Hotel gets it done without the inflated price tag.

  Although in the middle of rustling and bustling Reeperbahn, the hotel offered a refuge. It’s a simple stay, nothing extra, but comfortable enough. Interior is a little weary, but clean and good for the price.
  Reception is open a limited amount of hours, but the check-in is pretty straightforward.
  
  What could be improved: Unfortunately, there’re no fridges available, good news is that you can get hot water in a machine downstairs.
  No elevators.

  I had a room at the back of the hotel, which was incredibly quiet despite being on the Reeperbahn on a very busy weekend.
  The bed was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was a good size, and the shower was great.
  
  What could be improved: The room was quite small with not much space to unpack. A bottle of water would've been appreciated.

  Despite being right on the Reeperbahn the hotel is safe and there isn’t much noise from the street when window is closed. Room is basic but clean and good value for money. Good place to sleep for the night.
  
  What could be improved: Reception only open a few hours per day. Air con wasn’t working so it was really hot.

  Nice and clean. Tidy place and got cleaned when I requested it to be. Even though it is by the Reeperbahn, it was very quiet.

  The hotel is very centrally located. The room was small but that was all we needed for one night. Receptionist was very kind and welcoming.
  
  What could be improved: The hotel is located in a party area so it could be quite noisy if you have a room on the street side. We had a room on the back of the hotel so the noise didn’t bother us that much.

  it was on a busy street but incredibly quiet inside. it is close to two Ubahn stations so easy to access from the main station.
  
  What could be improved: Rooms were cleaned every dat and smelled fresh. There is a vending machine for snacks and drinks although it is room only. it is great value for money and the staff are very friendly
