Hotel Description
You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from Numa Hamburg Fore when I first walked up – honestly, the name doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue, and it’s got that modern aparthotel vibe that can go either way. But here’s the thing about Hamburg: sometimes the places that don’t scream “look at me” end up being exactly what you need.
The whole setup is refreshingly straightforward. No marble lobbies or doormen in fancy uniforms, just clean lines and that Scandinavian-ish efficiency that actually works. Check-in was one of those self-service deals (which I was skeptical about, I’ll admit), but it took maybe three minutes and suddenly I had my key card and directions to my room. The staff – when you do see them – clearly know their stuff and aren’t trying to upsell you on spa treatments or overpriced breakfast buffets. What struck me most was how quiet it stays, even though you’re properly in the city. I mean, Hamburg can get pretty lively, especially around the Reeperbahn area, but somehow this place manages to feel like a calm pocket away from all that energy.
The rooms hit that sweet spot between hotel and apartment – you’ve got enough space to actually unpack (revolutionary concept, right?), a kitchenette that’s more than just for show, and windows that open properly. Small thing, but after staying in too many places with sealed windows and aggressive air conditioning, being able to let in some actual Hamburg air was nice. The beds are solid – firm enough that you don’t sink into oblivion but comfortable enough that I wasn’t thinking about my back in the morning. And honestly, for a 3-star place, the bathrooms are surprisingly well thought out. Good water pressure, decent lighting for getting ready, none of that cramped airplane bathroom nonsense.
What really won me over, though, was the location without being obvious about it. You’re not right on top of the tourist crowds, but you can walk to the Speicherstadt in about fifteen minutes, and there are these great local cafes and bakeries within a couple blocks that you’d never find if you were staying in the obvious hotel district. The U-Bahn connections are solid too – I could get pretty much anywhere in the city without thinking too hard about it. Parking was straightforward when I needed it, which in Hamburg is honestly half the battle.
Look, it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, and that 8.2 rating feels about right – it’s doing the fundamentals really well without any unnecessary flourishes. If you’re the type who wants someone carrying your bags and bringing you room service, this probably isn’t your spot. But if you want a clean, comfortable base for exploring Hamburg that doesn’t cost a fortune and doesn’t treat you like you’re helpless, Numa Hamburg Fore gets it right. Sometimes that’s exactly what you’re looking for.
Hotels in Hamburg offer guests the perfect blend of maritime charm and modern comfort, with many featuring harbor cruise concierge services and traditional fish market experiences to enhance the authentic Hanseatic cultural experience.

Great modern apartment. Convenient for the local S-Bahn and U-Bahn to get directly into the city within about 20mins.
What could be improved: It was unfortunate that the bathroom light wasn't working – as there wasnt a window in the bathroom, the only source of light in there was from the wall mirror. We contacted the host on the first night who advised that they would get it looked at but for whatever reason, it wasn't fixed before our departure (3 night stay).Liis from Estonia – 14 April 2025 (9/10)
I liked, that we could leave our luggage before check in time to the luggage room. Check in via door code was really great- Apartment was cozy and clean, had everything we needed. Facility was clean and easily accessible.
What could be improved: Location was bit further away as we would have liked. Wanted to add breakfast for 2 mornings (not every morning), but it didn't have that option online – only all mornings. Couldn't use the smart tv – the qr-code didn't work for connect it with Netflix or youtube or so on.Zoia from Netherlands – 16 March 2025 (8/10)
Comfortable well-furnished apartments.
Breakfast was not available so cannot say anything
What could be improved: Our code didn’t work for parking, we have called and had to wait 10 minutes for support to pick upNikola from Serbia – 23 February 2025 (9/10)
Apartman je vrlo čist, sve je digitalizovano, lokacija je korektna ali je malo dalja od centra.
What could be improved: Mali problemi s grejanjem, marketi su na bar 20 minuta peške.Sadaf from Sweden – 1 January 2025 (8/10)
Very good
What could be improved: 👍👍❤️Sabina from Czech Republic – 29 December 2024 (8/10)
The property itself is beautiful and spacious
What could be improved: A guy (who I guess worked there) walked in my room unannounced at 8am asking me when I’ll check out. As a female traveling alone this was a uncomfortable experience that made me just want to leave as fast as possiblePaul from United States – 19 December 2024 (9/10)
I enjoyed walking in the Statpark. The breakfast buffet was awesome!
What could be improved: There were no small washcloths, only towels.Sandin from Slovenia – 18 December 2024 (9/10)
We had a fantastic stay at an apartment in Hamburg, located in the City Nord district. The apartment was modern, clean, and well-equipped with all the basic amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. One of the best aspects was the convenient proximity to public transport, which made exploring Hamburg effortless, plus it was the main line to the city center and the airport!
The online check-in process was straightforward, with clear and helpful guidelines provided. Access to the apartment was seamless, and we appreciated the ongoing updates and communication via WhatsApp—it kept us informed and added a personal touch to our experience.
The price was very reasonable for what was offered, and overall, we highly recommend staying here. It’s a great choice for anyone visiting Hamburg!
What could be improved: Could use a little more toilet paper 🙂Bhatia from India – 4 December 2024 (9/10)
Very efficient and comfortable

Spacious room with a reasonably equipped kitchen area (including complimentary coffee and tea) and a small seating area. The bed was large and very comfortable. The hotel is a 5min walk from the Rübekamp train stop on the S1 line, which directly connects to the airport and the main train station. There is also a bus stop nearby which runs to the Alsterdorf U1 subway stop. The hotel is surrounded by office building towers inside of a pretty park area. There is a simple restaurant on the ground floor which also serves breakfast. Alternatively, there are a couple of bakeries in walking distance. There are plenty of car-sharing vehicles parked on the surrounding streets
What could be improved: This is a "zero-service" hotel. There is no reception or local staff. You will need to perform the entire check-in/check-out procedure online, including uploading pictures of your documents. The room did not get any clean-up during the stay
