The rooms have a clean, modern feel without being sterile, and the windows are large enough to let in plenty of natural light during the day.

The breakfast spread here surprised me in the best way possible. They’ve got the usual continental options, but they’ve also thought about people with dietary restrictions — proper vegan and gluten-free choices that don’t feel like afterthoughts. The American-style options are there too if you’re craving something more familiar. What I really appreciated was the quality of the coffee and the fact that they keep everything well-stocked even later in the morning. There’s parking available right at the hotel, which honestly makes the whole experience more relaxed if you’re driving.

The repeat visitor thing makes total sense once you’ve stayed here. It’s not trying to be the flashiest hotel in Hamburg, but it gets the fundamentals right — location, comfort, and service that feels genuine rather than scripted.   Staff are all extremely friendly and professional. Beds and rooms are very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. Had dinner one night and couldn't fault it. No problem getting taxis to city centre and there are 2 lovely restaurants within walking distance from the hotel.

  Excellent location for visiting Hagenbeck's Tierpark. Comfy rooms of a generous size. Clean and tidy. Very nice views across the local area from my floor. Direct bus to airport is five minutes away and the UBahn line to central Hamburg is similar.
  
  What could be improved: No invoice provided via email on check out, even though this was requested. Some confusion over billing, which was easily resolved. Although the location for the zoo is brilliant, it's a little far out of the city and travellers should be aware of that. However, the direct U2 line from the UBahn station to Hamburg Hbf is helpful, as is the bus to the airport.

  The design of the hotel is just beautiful. As we are both animal-lovers, we felt right at home. It's just so lovely, such a thoughtful creation and so well cared for. We will definitely be back.
  
  What could be improved: The breakfast is very expensive! But that doesn't really matter, there are plenty of places nearby.
  The room was amazing, but it would be nice if the balcony doors could be pulled shut from outside. Again, a minor thing.
  It was very warm in the room, even though the weather wasn't great. I couldn't get the temperature down, but maybe I'm just not good at working the air-con!

  The hotel is beautifully designed. The attention to detail is exceptional throughout their services. Incredibly clean. The foods is masterfully prepared.

  The hotel capitalises on it's proximity to the Hagenbeck Zoo by adding elements to the decor and ambience to evoke feelings of safari. The room was well appointed and very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Windows opened so it was possible to get fresh air. Staff were helpful and friendly at all times. As a solo traveller I felt safe in this property. It was also easy to reach due to its close proximity to the U-bahn station.
