Hotel Description

Look, I’ll be straight with you about Reeperbahn Apartments – if you’re looking for marble lobbies and concierge service, this isn’t your spot. But if you want to actually experience Hamburg’s most notorious neighborhood without breaking the bank, well, this place gets it right in ways that surprised me.

The thing about staying right on the Reeperbahn is that you’re literally in the thick of it all. I mean, step outside and you’re surrounded by the neon chaos that makes this strip famous – the music spilling out of clubs, street performers doing their thing, and honestly, some of the best late-night food in the city. What I didn’t expect was how the apartments themselves felt like a proper refuge from all that energy. The soundproofing is actually decent (though don’t expect total silence on Friday nights), and there’s something refreshing about having your own space with a little kitchenette when you’re in such a tourist-heavy area. You know what really sold me? The staff genuinely knows the neighborhood – not just the obvious tourist traps, but where locals grab coffee in the morning and which U-Bahn entrance to use when things get crowded.

The apartments themselves are pretty no-nonsense, which I appreciated. Clean, functional, with that slightly worn-in feel that three-star places do well when they’re not trying to be something they’re not. My room had this small balcony overlooking the street – not exactly scenic in a traditional sense, but watching the neighborhood transform from daytime gritty-cool to nighttime electric was genuinely entertaining. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly (crucial when you’re trying to figure out Hamburg’s public transport), and having actual counter space and a fridge meant I could grab provisions from the nearby markets instead of eating every meal out. Parking is… well, it’s the Reeperbahn, so expect to walk a few blocks or pay for a garage, but that’s true anywhere in this part of St. Pauli. What really impressed me was the check-in process – they actually gave useful advice about timing your comings and goings, like how the area gets pretty quiet before noon if you want to explore without the crowds, or which nights tend to be absolute mayhem (hint: avoid weekends if you’re a light sleeper). For the price point and that 8.3 rating, it makes total sense – this place knows exactly what it is and delivers on that promise without any pretense.

Reviews

  • Patrycja from United Kingdom – 29 July 2024 (8/10)

Lovely location, wonderful facilities- fit all of us well for only one night stay during a roadtrip but was still wonderful

What could be improved: It did take us a while to find- unsure if it was just the exhaustion of travel or the small signage on the door.
There were a few signs the previous guests weren't the best- there was some damage to the bathroom door specifically

  • Sandra from Ireland – 1 June 2024 (8/10)

Lovely, clean apartment with comfortable beds and excellent wifi connection. The kitchen was fully fitted with everything you could possibly think of that you might need. The location is as central as you can get and within walking distance to a wide range of tourist attractions and some good restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay here.

What could be improved: The location, at first, can be very off putting as it is located in the heart of the sex district. However, we had no problems at all and actually really relished how central we were to everything. The street has a real buzz about it, day and night but it does take a bit of getting past the seediness of the area at first.

  • Andreas from Norway – 28 August 2023 (7/10)

Great location dead centre of all the happenings

What could be improved: The apartment needs some repairs as many things are damaged. Should be door code on the frist door with digital codes. Apartment gets too hot, needs ventilation. Expensive for what you get.

  • Scott from United Kingdom – 13 May 2025 (9/10)

    Large room and comfortable beds.

    What could be improved: N/A

  • Thoma from Netherlands – 8 April 2024 (9/10)

Nice clean appartement. Comfortable beds. Fridge was stacked with cold drinks. Good view over the madhouse below. Nice central location, perfect for exploring the city.

    What could be improved: Nothing

  • Levi from Netherlands – 17 December 2024 (9/10)

Het appartement zeg er erg netjes uit. De bedden slapen top! Weinig tot geen geluidsoverlast.

What could be improved: De keuken is van alle gemakken voorzien, maar wel een beetje krap.

  • Andres from Germany – 8 August 2024 (9/10)

    Top Lage, alles sauber.

  • Tim from Netherlands – 29 July 2024 (8/10)

De accommodatie was netjes en de locatie was uitstekend voor het uitgaan.

What could be improved: De accommodatie was niet heel gezellig ingericht, omdat er niet echt ruimte is waar je gezellig kan zitten met een groep.

  • Anna from Austria – 23 July 2024 (7/10)

Unglaublich tolle Lage, sehr sauber, gemütliche Betten, unkomplizierter Check-In und Check-Out!

What could be improved: WC-Türe konnte man weder schließen noch zusperren.

  • Gina from Germany – 12 February 2024 (8/10)
