Schulterblatt-Apartments Hamburg Unit 3 For 5 Overview
First Impressions
The Schulterblatt-Apartments Hamburg Unit 3 For 5 sits quietly on Nagels Allee in Eimsbüttel, and honestly, that’s part of its charm. This three-star apartment feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a typical hotel — you know, the kind of spot where you actually have space to spread out and live a bit. The building itself is pretty typical for this part of Hamburg, but what struck me was how the location manages to feel both residential and connected to everything you’d want to explore.
The Space Itself
Walking into the unit, you get this immediate sense of relief — there’s actual space here. The kitchen is properly equipped, not just some token mini-fridge situation, which means you can actually cook if you want to save some euros or just prefer your morning coffee a certain way. The living area flows naturally, and I mean, when you’re traveling with up to five people, having room to breathe without bumping into each other constantly is pretty crucial. The whole setup feels thoughtfully arranged rather than just crammed with furniture.
Location Perks
Here’s what I really appreciated about Eimsbüttel — it’s got this authentic Hamburg vibe without the tourist crowds. You’re close enough to the Schanzenviertel that you can easily walk over for dinner or drinks, but you’re not dealing with the noise and chaos every single night. The neighborhood has these great little bakeries and cafes that locals actually use, plus the public transport connections are solid. I found myself taking the U-Bahn into the city center regularly, and it never felt like a trek.
Practical Considerations
The parking situation is actually manageable here, which — let’s be honest — is not something you can say about most places in Hamburg. If you’re driving, that’s a real advantage. The setup works well for different group dynamics too; couples seem to particularly love this place (and I can see why), but it’s flexible enough for friends or family traveling together. The 7.6 rating makes sense to me — it’s not trying to be fancy, but it delivers on what matters: space, location, and that feeling of having your own little Hamburg base.
Why Guests Love It
What really sets this place apart is how it lets you experience Hamburg like you’re living here temporarily rather than just passing through. You can grocery shop at the local markets, cook breakfast while planning your day, and come back to a space that feels like yours. The recent guests rating the location at 8.6 aren’t wrong — Eimsbüttel gives you that sweet spot of authentic neighborhood life with easy access to Hamburg’s main attractions. It’s the kind of place where you might find yourself staying an extra day just because you’re comfortable.

Reviews of Schulterblatt-Apartments Hamburg Unit 3 For 5
Assad from Denmark – 6 May 2025 (6/10)
What could be improved: Fire Alarm and the whole building is out. The reason was that we cook an egg! They came to switch it off after and hour. That sound was horrible for kids.
Joanna from United Kingdom – 4 January 2025 (9/10)
The very clean room exceeded expectations- there was a dishwasher and freezer section for example. And there was a welcome package – all of which were unexpected. We used all the bedding with our family of 4 and found extras too.
What could be improved: It was quite hot and we slept with the windows open in December, but this wasn’t the worst thing ever.Claudia from Ireland – 10 December 2024 (9/10)
What could be improved: To hot, the heating was to much
Dror from Israel – 22 July 2024 (9/10)
The apartment was 1 out of 5 apartments in this property, the check-in was online and the representatives were with us on the WhatsApp, which was convenient. There's a dish washer and a fully equipped coffee machine.
What could be improved: The sofa bed mattress was bad, made my back ache. There were not enough electricity sockets, just one useable in the sleeping area. You can use the provided extensions. The coffee machine needed maintenance and it took a while to get it to be useable.Nadeem from United Kingdom – 6 July 2024 (9/10)
Nice clean apartment in a great location
Kate from Germany – 3 May 2024 (7/10)
What could be improved: There was a lot of mold in the bathroom. And the check-in times were very inconvienent… 16:00 check-in is quite late. There was an option to pay 30 Euros to check in "early" (anytime after 13:00) which should be the automatic standard check-in time. In my opinion this is just another tactic to make quick money. With an early check-out time of 10:00, there is no need for such a late check-in time. This was disappointing.
Naresh from United Kingdom – 16 January 2024 (8/10)

Pulizia e posizione
What could be improved: NienteEmma from United Kingdom – 18 July 2023 (7/10)
Well equipped and yet also compact.
What could be improved: The arrival process could have been easier – none of the families who arrived at the same time as us knew which room was ours so we had to check each code. Also ourselves and the neighboring family had problems with the Wi-Fi on the first day. Otherwise all good.Julius from Lithuania – 19 May 2023 (8/10)
Very good value and perfect for short stay. Not far from many restaurants and bars. Really good location. There was a kitchen with every thing you need.
