You know what caught me off guard about Stay with Legends? The name sounds like total marketing fluff, but honestly, there’s something genuinely cool happening here once you get past that. I mean, it’s a solid 3-star place – nothing fancy, but they’ve really leaned into this whole storytelling vibe that actually works. The lobby has these vintage sports memorabilia displays and old concert posters that aren’t just random decoration – someone clearly put thought into curating stuff that tells actual stories. The front desk staff seemed to know the backstory behind most of the items, which was kind of refreshing since usually hotel employees just shrug when you ask about anything.

Here’s the thing about the rooms – they’re not going to blow you away with luxury, but they’re genuinely comfortable and way cleaner than I expected for the price point. The beds are actually decent (I’m picky about mattresses), and there’s this nice touch where each room has a little placard about a different “legend” – could be a local musician, athlete, or historical figure. Mine was about some jazz musician from the 1940s, complete with a playlist you could scan and listen to. It’s sort of cheesy but also kind of charming? The bathroom was compact but well-designed, though the water pressure could be better – not terrible, just not great. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stayed at night. You’d think with an 8.1 rating and decent foot traffic it might get noisy, but the soundproofing is surprisingly good.

The location is honestly what makes this place work. I can’t give you the exact cross streets since the address wasn’t super clear, but it’s positioned where you can walk to the interesting stuff without being right in the middle of tourist chaos. Parking was easier than expected – there’s a small lot behind the building that doesn’t cost extra, which saved me like forty bucks compared to other places I looked at. Check-in was smooth, maybe ten minutes total, and they had local restaurant recommendations that weren’t just the usual chain places everyone suggests. The breakfast situation is continental – nothing special but solid coffee and fresh pastries from some local bakery. Would I stay here again? Yeah, probably. It’s got personality without trying too hard, the price feels fair for what you get, and there’s something nice about a place that acknowledges the stories of wherever you’re visiting instead of just being another generic hotel room.

Visitors often choose Hamburg apartments over traditional hotels because they provide more space, kitchen facilities, and the opportunity to live like a local in this magnificent Hanseatic city.

  The location is amazing! Only a few minutes from a bus stop and easily findable. The host is also very nice and easily approachable.

  The location is PRIME! There’s no better place in Hamburg to enjoy the city and its people. Lovely neighborhood. Also the apartment was very new and clean, the beds and sheets comfortable and soft.

  Cozy rooms, location is good, host is easily approachable and flexible. It was very clean and tidy. I enjoyed my stay there and will strongly recommend to stay hear. It is value for money. Such a neet and clean property is available in reasonble prize in the good location, that is the best part.

  Das Apartment liegt ruhig aber dennoch in unmittelbarer Nähe zu zahlreichen Cafés, Restaurants und Geschäften.
  Das Bad ist klein, aber modern und sehr sauber. Die Betten sind bequem, die kleine Teeküche und der große Kühlschrank sehr praktisch.
  
  What could be improved: Im Apartment 3 gibt es ausschließlich EINEN Lichtschalter, der gleichzeitig drei sehr helle Deckenlampen anschaltet. Das heißt: Nächtliche Toilettengängen gehen entweder nur im Dunkeln oder auch die zweite Person wird zwangsläufig geweckt und geblendet. Wünschenswert – und sicherlich nicht allzu aufwändig – wären eine Nachtischlampe und eine kleine Lampe an dem kleinen Ess-/Arbeitstisch.
  Im Fernseher sind nur die öffentlich-rechtlichen Sender kostenfrei zu empfangen, aber wir will bei seinem Hamburg-Aufenthalt schon fernsehen?
