So here’s the thing about Wedina Budget – it’s one of those places that completely surprised me in the best way possible. I’ll be honest, when I first walked up to it, I was expecting your typical bare-bones budget spot with thin walls and questionable Wi-Fi. But you know what? This place actually gets it right where it matters most.

The staff here – and I mean this – they genuinely seem to care about what they’re doing. Check-in was smooth, no weird hidden fees or awkward upselling attempts. The woman at the front desk actually gave me solid recommendations for dinner spots nearby (not the touristy places, but where locals actually eat). My room was clean – like, properly clean – with decent water pressure in the shower and surprisingly comfortable bedding. I mean, it’s not luxury threading or anything, but I slept well, which is honestly all I need after a long day of exploring. The walls are thicker than you’d expect too, so you’re not hearing every conversation from the hallway.

What really won me over was the attention to small details that budget places usually skip. There’s proper lighting by the bed for reading, enough outlets for your devices, and the air conditioning actually works without sounding like a freight train. The neighborhood feels safe for walking around at night, and there’s a decent coffee shop just two blocks down that opens early if you’re the type who needs caffeine before tackling the day. Parking can be a bit tricky during peak season – you might have to circle the block once or twice – but there’s usually something within reasonable walking distance. The 8.1 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed here because it delivers exactly what it promises without pretending to be something it’s not. It’s honest hospitality at a fair price, which honestly feels pretty rare these days.

  The location is in a nice city part with plenty of cafes and restaurants and one can reach the city hall in a 20 minutes walk. The staff was really nice, the main building with the reception also looks great. We had a room in a different building which looked a little less pleasant with the entry hall covered in beton blocks and there was no lift but it was still fine. The room is small and simple but there is everything one needs for a short stay.

  very good location, close to the center but in a calm street. friendly staff a lot of restaurant in walking distance. The room is quite good, Wifi is OK.
  
  What could be improved: There is no parking place around, kind of a hunting to find one in the evening. No elevator in the property a bit difficult with bike and baggages to get to the second floor. The quality of the bed is below the standard, not comfy. Not changing towels only if you ask for. You have to pay on your arrival. Not the end of the world but we used to do it when we are leaving.

  Breakfast was great. The staff is very friendly and helpful. To my surprise, they (F&B staff) knew my birthday and greeted me with a glass or prosecco. This was a very nice gesture, and I am greatly appreciated it. Thank you so much, Wedian Budget staff.
