This little apartment sits out in Hamburg’s Elbvororte – the Elbe suburbs – which means you’re trading the tourist crowds for actual neighborhood life. I mean, you won’t stumble out your door onto the Reeperbahn, but honestly? That’s not necessarily a bad thing. The area has this quiet residential vibe where you’ll hear birds in the morning instead of drunk British stag parties (trust me on this one). The 35 square meters feels bigger than it sounds – Germans are pretty efficient with space, and whoever designed this place knew what they were doing. You’ve got your own bathroom, which is crucial because shared facilities in Hamburg can be… well, let’s just say having your own is worth celebrating.

What really surprised me was how well-connected this spot actually is. The S-Bahn connections from the Elbvororte are solid, so you’re maybe 20-25 minutes from the city center, but you’re paying apartment prices instead of Hamburg hotel rates. The neighborhood itself has that lived-in feeling – there’s a proper bakery nearby (not some chain nonsense), and the local Edeka actually stocks decent wine. I noticed the streets get pretty quiet after 9 PM, which is either perfect for sleep or a bit boring depending on what you’re after. The check-in was straightforward – none of that boutique hotel theater, just keys and clear instructions. Parking isn’t terrible if you need it, though you might circle the block once or twice during busy periods. The rating of 8.9 makes sense to me – it’s not luxury, but it delivers exactly what it promises without any unpleasant surprises. For three stars, you’re getting honest value and a real taste of how Hamburgers actually live, which beats another sterile city center hotel room any day.

    Very spacious room, very clean, good bathroom, all nicely decorated. Seemed slightly unusual to us at first as it's located in a building that mostly contains offices, but this actually meant it was nice and quiet at night. The host was very helpful and easy to contact. A bit far from the city centre, but the host told us about the Hamburg hvv app which was great, and once you know where the nearest bus stops are (Rugenfeld or Immenbusch), travel to and from the city centre was pretty easy. The accommodation is located really close to local shops, bakeries and supermarkets, so it was also very convenient for self-catering.

    What could be improved: We didn't realise beforehand that the kitchen isn't actually within the room so were a bit unsure whether we could leave our food safely in the fridge, but it was totally fine.

    Es war alles für die Gegebenheiten (Gemeinschaftsküche, eigenes Bad, Zimmergröße und die Betten) super.

    Leider haben uns am frühen Morgen (gegen 6 Uhr) die Geräusche von LKW's die unmittelbar vor dem Fenster be- bzw entladen wurden, gestört.

    Habitación acogedora, lugar tranquilo y anfitrión excepcional. Las camas eran muy cómodas y la habitación en general estaba bien. Nos gustó mucho el sitio, sin duda repetiría.

    What could be improved: A la habitación le faltaba solo una mesa y sillas para poder comer, ya que la cocina era compartida y en ésta tampoco tenía sitio para sentarse, pero todo lo demás estupendo. Tenía un par de sillones y una mesa de centro en la que nos apañamos, pero habría estado mejor una mesa y varias sillas normales.
    Por otra parte la plaza de parking estuvo ocupada algunos días, pero había bastante sitio fuera y pudimos aparcar sin problemas, por lo que ni siquiera llegué a comentárselo al anfitrión.

    What could be improved: 안내에는 공용 주방이라는 설명이 없었습니다.
    아무런 설명없이 마치 주방이 있는것처럼 사진을 올려 놓는것은 개선을 해야할것 같습니다.

    Unproblematische Buchung und der freundliche Kontakt ( nur per E-mail und SMS )

    What could be improved: Die Lage war in einem älteren Bürohaus mit ca. 40 Firmen bzw. Beratern, das Gebäude befand sich mitten in einem Industriegebiet, aber Supermärkte in der Nähe. Das Apartment wurde für 4 Personen gebucht, aber durch die Klappcouch und dem Bett stand für uns keine Sitzgelegenheit und Tisch zur Verfügung, vor allem, wenn man essen wollte. Die Küchenzeile befand sich nicht, wie beschrieben, im Apartment, sondern als Gemeinschaftsküche am Ende des Flurs. Die Fenster ließen sich kaum zum Lüften öffnen ( da alt ) und es gab nur 1 Zimmerschlüssel mit 1 Schlüssel für den Haupteingang. Ein Haupteingangsschlüssel befand sich in einem zusätzlichen Safe, der sich von uns nicht öffnen ließ ( vielleicht eingerostet?). Die Zimmerdecke war Rohbau ( Filigrandecke) es fehlte die Deckenkonstruktion, das WLAN war ständig unterbrochen. Morgens war der Motorlärm von Nutzfahrzeugen auf dem Hinterhof zu hören und die tieffliegenden Flugzeuge vom nahgelegenem Flughafen.
