Albertus Paris Aparthotel Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Albertus Paris Aparthotel, you immediately notice this isn’t your typical hotel setup. It’s got that aparthotel vibe where you feel like you’re staying somewhere more personal than a chain property — honestly, the name might throw you off since it’s actually in Hamburg, not Paris, but don’t let that confuse you. The lobby feels welcoming without being overly fancy, which makes sense for a three-star property that clearly focuses on comfort over flashiness.
The Wandsbek Advantage
Here’s what I really appreciate about this place — it’s tucked away in Wandsbek, which gives you that authentic Hamburg neighborhood feel without being stuck in the middle of nowhere. You’re close enough to the city center that getting around isn’t a hassle, but far enough out that you’re not dealing with constant tourist crowds. The area has this lived-in quality that I actually prefer over staying right in the Altstadt, and couples seem to get this — they consistently rate the location highly for romantic getaways.
Your Space
The room setup here is what sets aparthotels apart from regular hotels, you know? You get more space to spread out, and there’s something nice about having a bit more independence during your stay. The rooms feel more like temporary apartments than hotel boxes, which means you can actually relax instead of feeling like you’re just passing through. I mean, after a long day exploring Hamburg’s canals and museums, having space to decompress makes a real difference.
Practical Perks
One thing that immediately caught my attention — they’ve got private parking right on site, which honestly is a game-changer in Hamburg where finding a decent parking spot can be a real headache. You don’t realize how much stress this eliminates until you’re not circling blocks looking for somewhere to leave your car. The whole property feels well-thought-out in these practical ways, like someone actually considered what travelers need rather than just what looks good in photos. Each apartment includes a well-equipped kitchenitchenette, perfect for preparing light meals and snacks during your stay.
Why Guests Love It
What really comes through in guest feedback is that this place just works — it’s not trying to be something it’s not, but it delivers on what matters. The location consistently gets high marks because it strikes that sweet spot between accessibility and authenticity. You’re staying somewhere that feels like Hamburg rather than generic hotel-land, and that neighborhood connection makes the whole experience more memorable. The aparthotel concept means you get the service and reliability of a hotel with the space and flexibility that makes longer stays actually comfortable. Whether you’re visiting for business or leisure, this property provides the comfort and convenience you need.

The apartments were very pleasant for a 10 days stay. Flats were clean. Parking was good. The lady – Karin, who took care of our guests, was very helpful.

Actually it was kinda thrill booking this, as there were no exact photos of apartment I have chosen, so I could base only on the description – but all in all it ended up exceeding what I had expected. A spacious room (I've been given apt 210, photo included) with a fully equipped kitchen and quite comfy beds. Really nothing missing for a short stay. A lot of Hamburg related decors on the hallways all over; it seems like a well thought out attempt to put the soul into this place. Yes, it's not all glass and modern whistles, rather kinda old-school, but it makes perfect sense. Upon check-in I had a chance to chat for a good 15 mins with the owner and have received lots of brochures and tips how to navigate around the city. Wandsbek is really calm and nice district, and the hotel is close to S- and U-Bahn lines, which run to almost wherever you would want. So, all great for me.
What could be improved: A washing machine for longer stays would be nice.Salim from Germany – 10 October 2023 (7/10)
The place, price
What could be improved: No wifi, one can hear the toilets of other rooms very loud, the fridge makes high noiseNazia from Australia – 8 October 2023 (8/10)
Comfortable and clean
What could be improved: I would suggest getting heavier curtains/blockouts for the windows. There are three large windows on one wall and it's very bright at night. Makes it hard to sleepMichael from Australia – 28 May 2023 (9/10)
Very roomy, close to the places we needed to be
What could be improved: limited shopping close byCarolina from Portugal – 3 April 2023 (9/10)
It was close to my appointments and had everything I needed. Also a garden nearby to take a walk and several shops!
The apartment has everything you need and free parking outside 🙂 It's very quiet and comfortable and the staff are very friendly.
What could be improved: There is nothing I didn't like. Cannot complain! In my case I just needed a private space with my own toilet and kitchen for a few days, to be able to look for a house in Hamburg and feel comfortable at the same time.Damien from Germany – 16 June 2022 (8/10)
Quite and cosy.
What could be improved: Bed was too tight to the wall and bed post corner was sharp.
