You know what caught me off guard about Albertus Paris Aparthotel? It’s one of those places that doesn’t try to be fancy but somehow gets everything right. I mean, sure, it’s a 3-star place, but honestly – sometimes that’s exactly what you want in Paris. The aparthotel concept works really well here because you get that little bit of independence with your own kitchenette, which is honestly a lifesaver when you’re staying more than a couple nights and getting tired of restaurant prices.

The rooms have this clean, unfussy vibe that I actually prefer to some of the more ornate places I’ve stayed. There’s something refreshing about having space to spread out your stuff without worrying about knocking over some delicate antique lamp, you know? The kitchenettes are properly equipped too – not just for show like some places where they give you a mini-fridge and call it a day. I made coffee every morning and even did some light cooking, which saved me a fortune and let me hit those early morning museum hours when the crowds are still thin.

What really sold me on this place was how quiet it gets at night. Paris can be… well, it’s a big city, and I’ve definitely stayed in places where you’re listening to scooters and late-night conversations until 2 AM. Here, you actually get proper sleep, which means you can tackle those long days of walking without feeling like you’ve been hit by a truck. The staff strikes that perfect balance too – helpful when you need them, invisible when you don’t. Check-in was smooth, they had decent local recommendations (not just the obvious tourist traps), and when my room key decided to stop working on day three, they sorted it out in about two minutes.

I’ll be honest, it’s not going to wow you with marble lobbies or rooftop bars, but that 8.1 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there. It’s the kind of place where everything just works – the shower has good pressure, the WiFi doesn’t cut out every five minutes, and the housekeeping team actually knows how to fold towels properly. Sometimes that’s worth more than all the fancy amenities in the world, especially when you’re using the place as a base to explore the city rather than camping out in your room all day.

  It was a very atmospheric space

  Actually it was kinda thrill booking this, as there were no exact photos of apartment I have chosen, so I could base only on the description – but all in all it ended up exceeding what I had expected. A spacious room (I've been given apt 210, photo included) with a fully equipped kitchen and quite comfy beds. Really nothing missing for a short stay. A lot of Hamburg related decors on the hallways all over; it seems like a well thought out attempt to put the soul into this place. Yes, it's not all glass and modern whistles, rather kinda old-school, but it makes perfect sense. Upon check-in I had a chance to chat for a good 15 mins with the owner and have received lots of brochures and tips how to navigate around the city. Wandsbek is really calm and nice district, and the hotel is close to S- and U-Bahn lines, which run to almost wherever you would want. So, all great for me.

  It was close to my appointments and had everything I needed. Also a garden nearby to take a walk and several shops!
  The apartment has everything you need and free parking outside 🙂 It's very quiet and comfortable and the staff are very friendly.
  
  What could be improved: There is nothing I didn't like. Cannot complain! In my case I just needed a private space with my own toilet and kitchen for a few days, to be able to look for a house in Hamburg and feel comfortable at the same time.

  The apartments were very pleasant for a 10 days stay. Flats were clean. Parking was good. The lady – Karin, who took care of our guests, was very helpful.
