Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw “Cabo Nonsmoking-Hotel” I wasn’t expecting much from the name alone. But you know what? Sometimes the places with the most straightforward names end up surprising you the most. This little 3-star spot has been my go-to whenever I’m in Cabo and don’t want to deal with the chaos of the resort strip.

What really got me was how quiet it actually is. I mean, you’re still in Cabo – you can hear the distant hum of the nightlife if you really listen – but inside, it’s like they built this place specifically for people who want to sleep past 6 AM. The nonsmoking thing isn’t just a policy here; they actually enforce it, which honestly makes such a difference. No lingering cigarette smell in the hallways or that weird stale smoke odor that seems to seep into everything at other places. The rooms themselves are clean in that no-frills way that actually works better than trying too hard. Simple beds (comfortable enough, though the pillows are a bit flat if I’m being picky), decent air conditioning that doesn’t sound like a jet engine, and – this is key – reliable hot water. You’d be surprised how many places in this price range mess that up.

The staff here knows their regulars, which tells you something about the kind of place this is. Maria at the front desk remembered my coffee preference from my second visit, and she’s got this way of giving you the real scoop on what’s happening around town without making it feel like a sales pitch. She’ll tell you which taco stands are worth the walk and which beach areas are going to be packed with cruise ship crowds on any given day. The location works really well if you know Cabo a bit – you’re close enough to walk to the good stuff but far enough away that you’re not paying resort prices for a beer. I usually grab breakfast at that little place around the corner (can’t remember the name, but it’s got the blue awning) and walk down to the marina when I want to people-watch.

The 8.2 rating makes sense to me – it’s not trying to be fancy, but it does what it promises really well. The wifi actually works throughout the building, the cleaning staff pays attention to details, and checkout is refreshingly straightforward. I’ve stayed here maybe five or six times now, and the consistency is what keeps me coming back. It’s the kind of place where you can leave your stuff without worrying, get a decent night’s sleep, and wake up ready to explore without feeling like you need to recover from your hotel experience first. If you’re looking for Instagram-worthy luxury, keep scrolling. But if you want a solid base camp for actually enjoying Cabo without the fuss, this place gets it right.

  Breakfast was delicious. There was a great variety. The room was very comfortable. The rain shower head helped make the shower feel like a spa. Everything was clean. There is someone at the main desk 24/7 which is nice in case you need anything.
  
  What could be improved: The pillows weren't very comfortable. They looked like they would be comfortable, but they were mostly air. As soon as you lay on them they go flat. No matter how much you bunch them up they still go flat.

  quiet, and comfortable. Has a small mini-fridge. and not far from a station.
  The breakfasts were really good, and really good for the price too!
  a pretty nice and quiet street to stay at! and had a few available places to get food from that were opened even in the middle of the night.
  
  What could be improved: It was a bit hard to find the entrance, but it also made this place more quiet and nice to stay in.
  There wasn't a storage room to keep our luggage between out checkout and our flight, but the stuff were really nice, and found a spot for it in front of the reception and kept their eye on it.
  The safe in the room was broken.

  Location was good, easy to get to wherever we needed. Food around was also good. Room was great, with glass roof in the bathroom – pretty cool. It was clean.

  Easy commute and parking, friendly staff, clean rooms, good bed. Really nice for our short stay in Hamburg.

  Booked late on our road trip thru the area and was pleasantly surprised by this hotel, very helpful staff at check in and good facilities. We used parking which was secure.
  
  What could be improved: A bit tricky to find as premises not on the street but set back thru a walkway. Once found, all good.

  Parking fit my Jeep Wrangler 4 door enclosed in their parking garage. Close to the park, since our dog traveled with us. Close to public transportation. Great Italian restaurant next door. Outstanding European breakfast! Super friendly and above average staff!
  
  What could be improved: The Night crowd a block away was my own complaint other than our trip was rainy the entire time and I didn’t prepare better for that.

  The location is nice, close to the s-bahn station. The room was clean and had a minibar. The staff is nice. There are supermarkets and restaurants nearby
