I’ve stayed here a handful of times when I needed something solid in the northern part of the city, and it’s one of those places that just… works. The 3-star rating is spot-on – it’s not trying to be something it’s not, which I actually appreciate.

The location is pretty smart if you know the area. You’re away from the tourist chaos but still connected to everything that matters. I mean, you can walk to some really good local spots that most visitors never find – there’s this little bakery about two blocks down that opens ridiculously early and makes the kind of pastries that locals queue for. The hotel itself sits on a quieter street, so you’re not dealing with constant traffic noise, though you’ll still hear the occasional delivery truck in the early morning. Check-in is usually smooth – the front desk staff actually remembers you if you’ve been there before, which is rarer than it should be these days.

The rooms are clean and functional, nothing fancy but everything you need is there and it works properly. The beds are decent (firm side of medium, if that matters to you), and the bathrooms are small but well-designed – someone clearly thought about how to use the space efficiently. What I really like is that the whole place feels maintained, you know? Like they actually fix things when they break instead of just patching them up. The WiFi is solid throughout the building, parking is straightforward if you’re driving, and honestly, the 7.2 rating feels about right. It’s not perfect – the elevator is a bit slow and sometimes the hot water takes a minute to kick in – but these are minor things when you’re getting good value. If you’re the type who needs a concierge and room service, look elsewhere. But if you want a comfortable base that doesn’t eat your budget and puts you in a neighborhood where actual people live and work, Hotel City Nord delivers exactly what it promises.
