  We loved Hotel Senator. The retro hotel decor is very of its time, but seems lovingly maintained and in very good condition. The waterbed was so comfortable, the breakfast was incredibly tasty with lots to choose from. Plus the staff were so friendly and helpful. The location is great for the station and wandering to the Rathaus. And just down the street is a restaurant called das Dorf which had very delicious food. We would love to return!

  Great location – and as a solo female traveller, I didn't feel unsafe. The hotel is a little dated, but in a cool 'retro' way that gives it charm. The rooms and facilities are clean and comfortable. Keys are left at reception, but it's 24/7 so it wasn't a problem for me.

  Great location: 5-minute walk to main railway station, 20 min to center of town.
  
  Room: a bit retro style (could consider an eventual design upgrade)

  wifi: worked well, but a hacker's paradise. I always dissuade people from using wifi that is accessible without secure password protection.

  Hotel Senator is a really nice hotel, and has been for many years. The atmosphere feels like home and the hotel has its original personal look. Much better than all the boring modern hotels, who all look the same.

  Excellent location for a city trip, with inhouse parking garage, close to public transport, museums and theaters. Room was good, very quiet, comfortable, everything clean and in good working order. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was perfect.

  The breakfast was very good. Huge choice of options including scrambled eggs and bacon, smoked salmon, fresh fruits, the list is endless. Excellent!. Location was very central and ideal for visiting the Christmas markets.
  
  What could be improved: Unfortunately the lift was broken when we arrived on Saturday but was working again on Monday morning.
