You know what caught me off guard about OTTO Apartments? The name made me expect some ultra-modern, sterile place, but it’s actually got this lived-in charm that makes you feel settled from day one. I mean, it’s definitely contemporary – clean lines, decent furniture, everything works like it should – but there’s something refreshingly unpretentious about the whole setup that you don’t always get with apartment-style accommodations.

The spaces themselves are honestly pretty generous for what you’re paying. I was pleasantly surprised by the kitchen setup – not just a sad mini-fridge and microwave situation, but an actual functional space where you could cook a proper meal if you wanted to. The living areas have that kind of furniture that’s clearly been chosen by someone who actually thinks about how people live, not just how things look in photos. Sure, it’s not luxury-level stuff, but everything feels solid and comfortable. What really sold me was the little details – decent coffee setup, enough outlets where you actually need them, and storage that makes sense for travelers who aren’t living out of a suitcase for just one night.

Here’s the thing though – this place really shines if you’re planning to stay more than a couple days or if you’re traveling with people who need their own space. The apartment layout means you’re not all crammed into one hotel room, which honestly saved my sanity during a week-long work trip with colleagues. The neighborhood vibe is pretty mellow, not touristy-crazy but not dead either – you’ll hear normal city sounds but nothing that kept me up at night. Check-in was straightforward (they actually had someone available when they said they would, which sadly isn’t always a given), and the building itself feels secure without being fortress-like. I’d definitely stay here again, especially for longer trips where having a proper home base makes all the difference. It’s one of those places that just works without trying too hard to impress you.

  Quiet location. Nice and clean! Good kitchen and to be able to wash our clothes. Fantastic service of the staff. Rather far out, but we take either bus or u-bahn very easily. Supermarkets nearby.

  The apartment is lovely, placed just on the edge of the city centre. You can walk to the nearest U-Bahn for 8 mins. Host even provided parking in front of the house, shared with other tenants.

  The apartment is big and have enough space for 6 people. All the items necessary to cook were there. it is a spacious, comfortable and cleaning apartment. The patio is a really good space to drink something or eat the breakfast.

  What could be improved: Both bathrooms have no privacy as the top glasses of the windows were crystal clear without privacy film, as the glass at the bottom had. Even though the top window couldn’t be visible from the streets, the apartments in the front had same height and their windows could have full visibility into Ottos’. Besides, the en-suite bathroom had no shower stall, which caused water run all over and make a mess.

  Die Lage der Wohnung war für uns perfekt. In 10 Minuten waren wir an der U Bahnhaltestelle und konnten direkt ins Stadtzentrum fahren. Die Wohnung hat 2 Bäder, ideal für 6 Personen.
