You know what? The Harbour Apartment 1 completely caught me off guard – in the best possible way. I’ll be honest, when I first saw the name I was expecting some generic waterfront rental, but this place actually has character. The moment you walk in, there’s this lived-in comfort that makes you feel like you’re staying at a well-traveled friend’s place rather than just another cookie-cutter accommodation.

What really won me over was how thoughtfully everything’s set up. The kitchen actually has proper knives (travelers know what I mean), and there’s enough counter space to spread out if you’re picking up groceries from the local market. The living area has that perfect balance – comfortable enough for a lazy morning with coffee, but you’re not sinking into some ancient couch that’s seen better days. I mean, it’s a 3-star place so you’re not getting marble countertops, but honestly? Everything works exactly as it should. The shower has decent water pressure, the Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every five minutes, and the bed is actually comfortable – sometimes that’s all you really need. The harbor views (when you can catch them) are lovely, especially in the early morning when the light hits just right.

Here’s the thing that really impressed me – it’s got that 8.8 rating for a reason. The owner clearly pays attention to the details that matter. Fresh linens that don’t smell like industrial detergent, blackout curtains that actually block light, and enough electrical outlets that you’re not playing musical chairs with your devices. Check-in was straightforward too – none of that awkward waiting around wondering if anyone’s actually coming. The neighborhood itself is pretty quiet most evenings, though you’ll hear some activity during weekend nights, but nothing that keeps you awake unless you’re an incredibly light sleeper. Parking can be a bit tricky during peak season (isn’t it always?), but there are usually spots within a reasonable walk. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if you’re the type who appreciates a place that feels more like a temporary home than a hotel room. It’s not fancy, but it’s genuine – and honestly, that’s worth more than all the marble and gold fixtures in the world.

  The location was great very close to everything we needed. First floor so very easy to access. Kitchen had everything we needed and we had room to spread out. Lilli was absolutely wonderful, perfectly on time and communicated well in advance. We felt so taken care of!

  Top Lage in U-Bahn Nähe, unweit der Speicherstadt. Die Wohnung hat sämtlichen Konfort, alles was man braucht. Echt eine Alternative zu Hotels, man hat mehr Platz und muss nicht ein überteuertes Frühstück zahlen, was man um die Ecke für ein paar Euro bekommt bzw. erhält man für das gleiche Geld schon ein Mittagessen.
