They’re not wrong about the light situation.

The first thing that hits you when you walk in is how bright everything feels. The windows are actually decent-sized (not those tiny hotel porthole things you sometimes get), and if you’re someone who needs natural light to function – like me after too much travel – you’ll appreciate waking up somewhere that doesn’t feel like a cave. The apartment setup is pretty straightforward, nothing groundbreaking, but it’s got that clean, minimalist vibe that works well for a few nights. The 8.0 rating makes sense because it delivers on the basics without any major surprises, good or bad. Three stars feels about right too – it’s comfortable and well-maintained, just don’t expect marble bathrooms or a concierge.

What I actually liked most was how quiet it stays, even though you’re supposedly in a central location (though honestly, the address listing just says “undefined” which is… not super helpful for planning). The walls seem solid enough that you’re not hearing every conversation from the next room, and I didn’t get woken up by street noise, which can be hit or miss in city centers. The check-in was pretty smooth – no weird complications or hidden fees that sometimes pop up with apartment-style places. One small thing though: the kitchen setup is functional but basic, so if you’re planning to do serious cooking, maybe adjust expectations. It’s more of a “heat up leftovers and make coffee” situation than a “prepare a three-course meal” kind of space. But really, when you’re staying somewhere central, you’re probably eating out most of the time anyway. For the price point and what you get – decent space, good light, quiet enough to actually sleep – it works. Not the kind of place you’ll be posting Instagram stories about, but also not the kind of place that’ll have you complaining to friends later.

  Very nice house quality and clean room.
  Almost full equipment included (except hair dryer). Big two refrigerator.
  There is Edeka (supermarket) 3 min away.
  Quiet space at night.
  The canal next to house has nice view. (2 min away)
  Bus station 2 min away which goes to subway station "Hamburg Rathaus" (takes about 10 min).
  
  What could be improved: 4th floor but no elevator.
  No hair dryer.
  The water in the shower booth was chronically not draining well. When I asked the host, he repaired it quickly, but the problem occurred again.

  The apartment was beautiful, with large and spacious rooms. We loved the minimalist and tasteful decoration. Communication with the staff was quick and helpful. The location was also something we liked as it allowed for a true break from busy Hamburg, plus public transportation is literally 1 minute away.

  Sehr sauber und ordentlich. Gemütlich eingerichtet. Alles vorhanden was man so braucht.
  
  What could be improved: Es gab eine große Bettdecke pro Doppelbett. Das ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig gerade wenn man nicht als Paar reist. Ansonsten war alles super.

Die hervorragende Anbindung an die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel ermöglichte uns eine schnelle Erreichbarkeit aller wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten Hamburgs. Darüber hinaus genossen wir die ruhige Lage der Wohnung, die uns eine erholsame Auszeit inmitten des Trubels der Stadt ermöglichte.
