Plus, there’s something authentic about this neighborhood that you just don’t get in the more polished parts of town. The area offers genuine local character and charm.

Room Experience

The room I stayed in was exactly what you’d expect from InterCity — clean lines, comfortable bed, and everything works properly. You know what really impressed me though? The soundproofing is actually decent, which matters when you’re on a busy street like this one. The bathroom was modern and well-maintained, and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. It’s not going to win any design awards, but honestly, after a long day exploring Hamburg, you’ll appreciate the comfort over flashy décor.

Breakfast Worth Getting Up For

The continental buffet breakfast here is — well, it’s really good. I’m talking proper German bread selection, quality cold cuts, and coffee that doesn’t taste like it’s been sitting around since yesterday. They’ve got the usual suspects covered (scrambled eggs, bacon, fresh fruit), but the local touches make it feel less generic than your typical hotel spread. The breakfast restaurant gets busy around 8 AM, so if you’re not a morning person, maybe aim for 9:30 or later. The quality and variety truly stand out.

  Arrived before official check-in time and we got our room early.
  
  What could be improved: The bar was closed during our stay, but was easy to find an alternative.

  Very central, everything like grocery stores, post office, kiosks, bakeries etc. is reachable within 2-3 minutes. The staff was very competent and handled the invoice already on check in, which saved me A LOT of time, which every other hotel failed. Breakfast was excellent, too.

  The location is super close to the Sbahn, 3 min walking and 6 stops away to the city center. Great shopping and restaurant options around as well. Comfortable and clean room & super helpful and friendly staff.
  
  What could be improved: They don’t offer the possibility for an extra bed, so we had to squeeze with our 7yo daughter in bed which was very uncomfortable for all 3 of us given the lack of proper space.

  Great location near metro, very good breakfast, comfortable and design room, free public transport tickets, nice bar and very good communication at the reception, large but paid parking spot.

  The location is great, very easy to get to anywhere, and there is even a cozy Christmas market just opposite to the hotel!
  
  What could be improved: The bed is a bit hard to our appreciation and the pillows are too soft, but it could be just personal preferences.

  I am a fairly frequent guest and I am always happy to return. We asked for a quiet room to the courtyard and booked the early check in at 10:00. We were able to get in the room just after 10:00 and it was a lovely high up, quiet room with window to the courtyard.
